Another great adventure done well. Happy to hear my fellow Canadians took care of you and were generous. The lost wallet and passport story turned out nicely. Central and Northern BC people are good people. I'm hoping the hostel in Jasper survived the fire. I drove past on my way to Vancouver in September, but didn't stop. Ok, onto episode #3. I'll be stopping in on my cycle trip to Vancouver this year.
Greetings from Alberta. I enjoyed your presentation very much. You started where I have family and friends. I grew up near Vancouver, but left for Alberta 11 years ago. I'm a lifelong cyclist and have toured a number of countries. 30 years ago, I did my longest trip, from Holland to Italy and back. I'm not surprised the mechanic at Recyclistas messed up your brakes. It's a good place to find used bike parts but not have work done, depending on who's there turning wrenches. I recognized the symbol on your passport...maybe you can guess which my father's province from my surname. I'm just about to watch episode #2. Take care.
Just binge-watched all three episodes. Living vicariously and laughing a lot. thanks!
Prachtig
not sure the information still valid in 2024. travelling alone, i am still checking th trail map , would be there in December 2024
😂😂❤
If a Latvian doesn't speak English and you say you're from Dutch, it sounds more like you're from Germany. Better say you're from the Netherlands
I would never say I'm FROM Dutch ;) I'm from the Netherlands (or incorrectly: Holland, which is a province) and I speak Dutch. The word Dutch is made up by English speakers haha, and it indeed sounds like Deutsch/German. In the native language there is no confusion: We are Nederlanders from Nederland speaking Nederlands. Or they are Deutschers from Deutschland speaking Deutsch. Only in English it gets unnecessarily difficult haha.
“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”. And that emotion was just so pure and priceless. It's really cool to see places and life exactly how they are. Good luck and til next time.🙂
Sweet stephanie.....charming content, much love, hearty welcome.shamim zahuri from bangladesh ⚘ 🕊 🤝 👫 🇧🇩
When did you make this trip? I had the "pleasure" to be in Gedera (20km north of Gaza) on the 7th of October last year. Wasn't as fun as your experience 😛
It was last summer when attacks were already happening. Odd reality combined with daily life as usual.
You are a malacis, each country's camino road has its own specifics, in the Baltic countries it is better to do it with a bicycle, both summer and winter..
'PromoSM' 🤤
Wow, amazing that you are on this cool journey on the planet Earth!! Somewhere I wnat to meet up!! BEST WISHES!
Best wishes to you too!
True. Most Estonians are kind of wild "Care bears". They are around you but you need to start conversations with them to find out what kind of bear you found:)
I figured that out in the 2 months here haha (I am still in Estonia, or once again)
So cool that you walked the Estonian Camino ❤ P.S I have cycled the Peraküla trail and it was cool…and little wild 🤭
Oh no, I typed a very long answer and then it disappeared :'( Anyway, yes, I also started to walk the Perakula-Aegviidu-Ahijarve but after 170km I switched. Nowadays, big parts of it seem to be entirely overgrown. Very hard to get through walking, I cannot imagine trying to get through with the speed of a bike (I think you would be slapped right off haha). How long is that ago?
@@budgetbucketlist It was in 2018, I have a blog post about it here: rmkmatkateel.blogspot.com/2020/04/820-kilomeetrit-toorest-joudu-ja.html

Super video. Toffe muziek
I got first view, like and comment 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 You’re looking great, love the scooter style 😁 Looks like a great place to visit! But it’s expensive there isn’t it?
Haha you are a pioneer :) always have been
Howdy?! Thank you-awesome footage. have a great day-Stephanie!:)
Have I ever mentioned how much I appreciate your humor? Great stuff! We really enjoyed our time in Budapest. Thanks for the fun memories.
Haha, where do I make jokes in this video? :p Thanks for commenting, where are you know in the world Pete?
@@budgetbucketlist Jokes, not so much, but choosing to include the video of those crazy dolls is just as funny as your collections of signs for “don’t” do this or that. We’re on the Mendocino Coast in Northern California for another few months then maybe to Salzburg for a bit.
@@plunderdogleather1318 Ah nice, I was thinking to visit the US maybe in fall season this year. Nothing's sure yet, but it seemed like a nice idea. Maybe I catch you there? And yeah... the dolls are c-r-e-e-p-y haha, what a museum!
Glad I found you! I live in Poland and have hiked sections of the GSB between Ustroń and Bieszczady. I'm thinking of a full thru hike and appreciate some of the issues you've highlighted, such as water, language barriers etc. Fortunately I speak some Polish and my journey will not only include the hike but my linguistic experience of bettering my knowledge of the language. Love your videos! Could you tell me which GSB group you follow, please? Thank you! ❤️
Thanks for your reply. I am in Glowny Szlak Beskidkzi and Glowny Szlak Beskidzki Stowarzyszenie. I received a lot of help from the group members who were excited to have a foreigner walking this trail. Very brave of you to take on the Polish language!
Did you get your hair by Semen ? Any big holes in the ride ? Um yea !
Hello, I saw your sticker in a shelter at "stage 4" during my hike 10 days ago. I wish you good luck in your new adventures:)
Just read you info page - thank you so much - and you are an abolutely legend - full power to you!
That’s what I’m talking about! Nice work! I enjoyed the elements of personal experience.
Thanks Pete!
Lovee it,insane uploading~=))
Nice bucket list 🌟
What's on your bucket list in Albania?
Magnifique, et sponsorisée en plus! Continue amie voyageuse !
Are you German? Also, you are very pretty!
This seems to be a very beautiful place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
In reply to your blog post, the reason that hitchhiking, couchsurfing and most of those other things that make traveling cheap are so easy for you (and probably finding a hospitality job as well) is because you're a pretty girl. Most of those things are difficult or nearly impossible as a guy, especially in western European countries.
This is the author from another account. Well, life is unfair. Always. We don't get a say about our gender (most would actually mention all the advantages men always had over women - as a historical fact), if we're pretty or not, if we were born rich or poor, how influential our families are, our skin color and all other bullshit that might not be important to us but counts in society apparently. I have studied 8+6+6 years to get both a bachelor and cum laude master degree and learned 9 languages, so I think it's more than just a cute smile that landed any jobs you're mentioning. I think it might be because I'm smarter than you or put a bit more efforts into my studying, but that's more painful to admit, and I understand that. Seems like it's exactly people like you, judging me by how I look, who make the world as superficial as you blame it to be. Sure, we can focus on what we don't have, but find your strengths in life. I know it's easier to blame external factors, but they're always gonna exist one way or the other. Others are always going to have advantages over you in certain ways, so I recommend to find the advantages you have over others. And use those. Trust me, that's how it works.
@@mvh6478 Being good at studying does not equal high intelligence, as is obvious from this comment (and i am also not claiming that for myself), though you probably just let your ego get the better of you which has happened to even some of the greatest geniuses in history, anyway. I'm pretty sure that deep down you know that most of those things are far, far easier because you're a pretty girl. But it does not matter, use your gifts to enjoy your life, and it seems that you are doing that. History is irrelevant, we live in the current world, I am not some powerful king or noble from history (most men were low status serfs anyway so that argument is nonsense which should also be obvious to you). Don't act or write that everyone can do it as easily as you though. You'll never wait for 12 hours to hitchhike along a busy road like other people would.
This is not a vlog
What a waste of time watching this
What a waste of time taking the time to write that down. You don't like it, click away. No need to spread your negativity with everything you touch.
nice video...I have walked the Frances to Fisterre twice and the Portugues to Fisterre but please nobody burn your clothes at the coast! 13:23 The locals have requested it stop and it has actually caused a brush fire in the area and the fire brigade had to respond
Beautiful. Was about to start the walk in 5 days, but we know how it goes, surge in new cases, emergency state, cancelled tkts. Now Nov 21 or Feb/March 22, which id' prefer. When did you do it?
No worries, freedom in Portugal. Press doesn't stroke with reality. I walked it end of November :) Wonderful weather
You’re the best company Steefke! Thanks for editing this cool video❤️
Its fun to watch you rant about pooping.
Great video, where is this trike based? do you have contact info for the pilot?
boys don`t cry but.. i had tears in my eyes too amazing GSB trip Stephanie
There are places in the world where people are more responsible.
1:15 little bit of history, before 1939 there was P (Polska) on border stone, during war P has been removed and new sign D (Deutschland) has been made, and after 1945 no one remoed D but only painted P again :-) on stairs to Diablak (Babia Góra) some steps of the stairs were made of removed border stone and you can see D and S on the steps :-)
So that 18kg backpack, how much of a percentage of your body weight does that make?
You had an amazing adventure. Thanks for bringing us along with you. Your reaction at the end was so raw, beautifully and touching. Congratulations is all I can say.
Happy new year 2021 with stunning and safe trips! Thank you for this upload. Nice done in Poland!
Glad u r ok. Its still inspirating adventure. Babia Gora in a close enough translation its a Womans peak/mountain. So she got his humours. Stay cool.
Haha yes, a grumpy old lady people told me ;) They didn't lie!
So did eventually the Ratunek app work somehow or it was something/someone else who alarmed the rescue team? That aside, being rescued by GOPR on the GSB is like GSB Premium edition, you had it all. I can laugh now, but I know you were scared to death, my worst moments of 'I forgive everyone' were so far only during several thunderstorms I had the chance to live through at or just below some mountain peaks. Something to tell about for years.
I couldn't open the app with my broken touchscreen, but tried to call some people. Eventually one call come through and rescue was warned. They came with a quadbike, but I was almost at the hut without knowing I was haha
Scary 😳... Glad you're ok...
I'm glad for that too :) I still have many more adventures to engage in, haha
2:30, you know why some people leave rubbish, because at home mommy cleaned everything, now they are adult but still thinking that mommy will clean their shit what they throw everywhere
Sadly you can find these kind of people everywhere in the world. Let's hope for natural selection on these ones.
